Hairgrass: (Sc name: Eleocharis parvula)
Overview: Eleocharis parvula, commonly known as Dwarf hairgrass is a farm raised aquatic plant originating from America. It is one of the most commonly used carpeting plants used in aquariums that resembles seaweed like appearance. They are easy to grow and require very little maintenance. This aquatic plant is amphibious in nature and thrives in both partially or fully submerged condition. It works well as a spawning medium as well as a foreground plant.
Appearance: As the name suggests, the Dwarf hairgrass plants are bright green aquatic plants with long grass-like pointed leaves.
Hard or Soft plant: Soft plant
Ideal water temperature: It prefers water temperatures between 21 and 28 degree Celsius.
Lighting conditions: Dwarf hairgrass grows well in moderate lighting of 2 watts per gallon or more from full spectrum intensity, i.e., 5000 to 7000K.
Ideal pH conditions: Dwarf grass plant thrives in pH conditions between 6.5 and 7.5
