Gourami

Gouramies comprises of a family of freshwater fishes which are the natives of Asia, Pakistan and India. Big Gouramis are also eaten by humans in some parts of the world. We generally keep the three spot and the dwarf in aquariums. Gouramis eat all kinds of food. The best is to provide diet with the combination of dry and well frozen- live foods. All varieties of Gouramis are egg layers and build bubble nests. Some of the commonly seen species are – Blue Gourami, Dwarf Gourami, Kissing Gourami, Pearl Gourami etc
