Nymphoides hydrophylla 'Taiwan'

Overview: Nymphoides hydrophylla 'Taiwan' is native to Asia and Africa. The word Taiwan in the name of this particular variant comes because it originates from Southern Taiwan. This plant is least demanding and easy to care and maintain. However, for flourishing in the aquarium, it requires proper nourishment. It can easily add dramatic visuals to the tank with the right placement. Since the leaves of the plant are quite large, they fill up the empty space quickly and give tank lush greenery with fewer efforts. It is a fast growing plant and can be used as a middle ground or background plant.

Appearance: The plant can grow up to 15 to 30 cm tall with a width of 10 to 15 cm. Being a rosette plant, the leaves grow well and cover up the spaces easily. The leaves are saucer in shape with very intense light green and transparent color that adds to the beauty of aquarium manifolds. It is a fast-growing plant; therefore, the need for regular trimming and pruning becomes a must. The leaves are not only distinct in shape and size, but color as well which makes it unique helps standing it out in the aquascape.

Hard/soft Plant: It is a hard plant that can tolerate harsh water conditions.

Ideal water temperature: The perfect temperature range for flourishing the plant is between 20 to 28 C.

Lightening conditions: Medium light conditions are enough for the plant to show its true colors. However, when the full spectrum of low-intensity light is provided, the plat thrives excellently. Balanced stimulation of fertilizers will act as a catalyst for the growth.

Ideal pH level: The ideal pH level for the plant ranges from 6 to 7.5.
