Echinodorus Muricatus Green

Overview: Echinodorus muricatus is a medium sized aquatic plant of the Sword plant species. A great option for beginners, it also serves the purpose of an excellent background plant, whether planted alone or among other species of it’s kind. Echinodorus muricatus Green is a good choice for community fish tanks.

Appearance: Echinodorus muricatus Green has wide rosette leaves in the aquarium and long ovate to lanceolate when submersed. The leaves are transparent and green in color. The leaf stalks are commonly shorter than the leaf blades. They grow up to 30 cm in height, under optimum conditions. Therefore, tanks with minimum 30 gallons capacity are ideal for its healthy growth.

Ideal water temperature: Echinodorus muricatus green prefers water temperature between 22 and 27 degree Celsius.

Lighting conditions: Echinodorus muricatus green prefers medium to high-intensity lighting conditions and for 10 to 12 hours a day.

Ideal pH balance: It thrives under pH conditions between 6.5 and 7.5, and sometimes grows well in the pH level of 6.0 too.
