Overview: Also popular as arrowhead vine, Syngonium Pink Schott is a beautiful cultivar of Syngonium podophyllum. The variegated leaves are the major attraction of this plant. You can clearly see the cream and pink color variation on the green leaves. The central veins of the leaves are dark green, making the appearance of the plant more pronounced. Syngonium Pink Schott is native to Central and South America and is commonly grown as an indoor plant for its attractive foliage. Since it is an easy-to-care plant, people also grow it in terrariums to add an aesthetic appeal to the space. 'Pink Schott' is a great choice for adding color and vibrancy to your home, and it thrives in terrariums in bright, indirect light.

Appearance: The beauty of Syngonium Pink Schott lies in its heart-shaped leaves. These leaves transition from green to pink and cream, creating a marbled effect, which is what makes the plant unique. While the center of the leaves is green, the edges have shades of pink and cream. It makes it one of the most beautiful ornamental plants for terrariums. Once matured, the leaves turn triangular from arrowhead. The plant typically grows as a trailing vine, but it can also be trained to climb or trail, depending on your preference.

Light requirements: Syngonium Pink Schott loves bright, indirect light. It helps leaves to maintain its unique coloration and variegation. Low light conditions are also tolerable but it dulls the leaves color. Therefore, keeping the terrarium in areas where filtered light comes is the best. Placing in direct sunlight will burn the leaves and damage the variegation.

Soil requirements: Well-draining soil is most preferred by the Syngonium Pink Schott plant. You can use potting mix with perlite for extra drainage. Make sure the soil is slightly moist and not soggy, as it welcomes root rot conditions. Using a mix that retains some moisture but drains excess water effectively is key to keeping the plant healthy.

Humidity: Moderate to high humid conditions are loved by this plant. More humid conditions always help it thriving. Therefore, during winters or dry spells you need to mist the plant occasionally. You can also place the plant in humidity tray to help it retain the moisture level around it. If growing it in a terrarium, the humidity levels will be well-suited to the plant's needs, promoting lush, healthy growth.

Watering: When the top 1-2 inches of the soil seems dry, water Syngonium Pink Schott. Do not overwater as it will create water logged situation and cause root rot. During winters, watering is reduced as plant growth slows.

Air circulation: Syngonium Pink Schott is susceptible to mold and mildew; therefore, maintaining proper air circulation is very important to prevent it. While humidity is essential, keeping plant in completely stagnant condition will create ruckus. In a terrarium or closed environment, provide occasional fresh air or ventilation to allow for proper airflow.

Trimming: Trim the plant occasionally to ensure it stays neat and tidy. It will also encourage growth of the plant. Trim the vines when you see them becoming leggy or overgrown. It will keep the bushy growth and maintain the plant's shape as well.

Other requirements: You can supplement Syngonium Pink Schott with a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month. Too much fertilization will harm the plant, so do it mindfully. Regarding repotting, Syngonium Pink Schott doesn't require it frequently. You can repot after 2 years or when the plant outgrows.
